THE VISION
The work of the church is essential in the culture today. Not only is it essential, but it is commanded by God to be done. Since 1977 Bethel Baptist Church has been a beacon for the Gospel in Richmond Hill. God has blessed this church and allows us to be connected to sharing the truth of God’s Word all over the globe. God’s work for the church must constantly be advancing.
Buildings are not the goal! A building is simply a tool that allows us to accomplish the mission…getting the truth in the hearts and lives of men, women, boys, and girls. Our church has long been at capacity in worship, educational and social spaces. Our community is growing rapidly. Currently, we are the 6th fastest growing county in the nation and 1st in the state of Georgia. We must act!
We are asking God to give us the faith for “this good work.” GOD IS ABLE! We desire to leave something on which the next generation can build. Our vision is to be a church known for Loving God, Sharing the Gospel, Growing in Truth, and Serving Others! It is time to Arise and Build!

WHAT CAN I DO?
Be prayerful! Be involved! Be faithful! The church is not a building; the church is a people. We are the people of God, and we have been given the opportunity to build the house of God. On Sunday, November 6th, we will take our Arise and Build pledges. This is a five-year commitment to give above our tithes and missions offering. Pray about what the Lord would have you do in this matter. Each member of Bethel Baptist Church can be involved in some way. On Sunday, January 8th, we will begin to give our commitments to the Arise and Build Fund. This is a step of faith, and we are reminded that it is impossible to please God without it. Let’s do all we can to lay the foundation on which the next generation can build!
HOW WILL OUR PROJECT BE FUNDED?
We are trusting God to do what only He can do, but we must do what He has enabled us to do! He will be faithful to meet the need for His work!
This project will be funded by the following means: Our Forward in Faith Campaign has allowed us to raise $1,500,000. We will move from our Forward in Faith Campaign to our Arise and Build Fund. This Fund changes the focus from raising money to break ground, to raising the money to fund the actual build.
The Arise & Build Fund has a goal, through the commitments of God's people, to raise $890,000 over the next five years. We will also commit to giving $600,000 out of our general fund into the Arise & Build Fund over the next 5 years. Bringing our total to $2,990,000. By faith, we trust God to enable us to raise additional funds through the church's growth.
